Los Chelazos is a blend of coffees from two cantons in the Chalatenango department situated right against the border of El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala. In fact the coffee is grown in the Montecristo Trifinio, a national park that extends into all three countries and protects a rich biodiversity. Specialty coffee out of Chalatenango has been increasing in both quantity and quality, and has become a region we buy coffee from often - we are loving this particular lot for its vanilla sweetness and easy-going but juicy orange acidity.
